TeaCakes Own Decaffeinated
A fantastic full taste with wholesome notes of toffee and malt, having a deep and lively rosy colour.
In the South West Corner of the rift valley lies the small but bustling Kericho Town, the pristine tea estate's are the major employer in the area.
Nandi highlands/Kenya
Ideally located on the shores of Lake Victoria with its moisture-laden atmosphere, in the hills of the South-Western Mao National Reserve, the tea estates have a unique micro-climate. As the warm air gently rises to the hills the water condenses to mist and the area has high average rainfall resulting in sweet luscious growth, and a crisp flavour.
Here at TeaCakes of Yorkshire, we have the best teas available and we insist the process of removing caffeine is done chemical free. Our teas are briefly soaked in exceptionally pure water and gently flushed with Co2.
The CO2 binds to the caffeine molecules and removes them from the tea leaving behind all the natural proteins that give tea its flavour. It also leaves many of the polyphenols and antioxidants intact so it’s still great for you.

We have tasted many samples of this decaffeinated but the Kericho leaf stands out as the malty flavour is very satisfying, and is a great way to end a meal, but being caffeine-free it will not keep you awake at night.
Bright and coppery it is an outstanding example of how all decaffs should taste.
